At R Rehab we work with experts who are familiar with what is needed to qualify for employment benefits. Some of this information includes eligibility rules, prior earnings requirements, benefit amounts, and other details varying from state to state. In California, the agency that handles unemployment benefits is called the Employment Development Department. To receive unemployment benefits in California, you must meet three eligibility requirements:
- Your past earnings must meet certain minimum thresholds.
- You must be unemployed through no fault of your own, as defined by California law.
- You must be able, available, and actively seeking work.
We assist our clients in collecting the proof of past earnings, reason for unemployment and proof of our clients actively seeking work. We also assist in checking the status of an unemployment claims which have already been submitted.
